The day after we took delivery of the new Resolution system, it was put to good service at a charity event in the middle of a field near Stroud... 
Despite the threat of rain for the whole day, the weather stayed fine and allowed us to put on a great show for the participants and to get the new Funktion One system tuned in properly.
Though the event itself wasn't a commercial event, it did afford us plenty of time and, more importantly, 90-acres of space to run the system up to full tilt. In fact, the maximum output of the system surprised even us - tonnes of really transient bass, and a wonderfully clear and precise mid-range. Due to the lack of reflective surfaces, audio pressure levels are often perceived to be less in open fields. However, a quick march around the event told us that we could deliver clear, hi fidelity concert levels to around 2,000 people in this setting.  
The lack of reflective surfaces is actually one of the wonderful thing about outdoor events; the sound is all coming from the source, with no muddiness introduced by spurious reflective surfaces. Of course, this also presents additional challenges in the mix, but it's a great foundation to start from.
